FEATURED WINERY

 CHALKERS CROSSING 

Located 150km north of Canberra, Hilltops is a region better known for cherry orchards than vineyards.

Established in an abandoned plum orchard in 1997 this is an estate that has risen quickly to prominence under Burgundian born winemaker Celine Rousseau.

Celine was attracted to Hilltops because of its cooler climate which enables her to make a more restrained style of wine without sacrificing the lush fruit quality that Australia is so good at.

We have chosen wines from the Hilltops and Tumbarumba regions of
New South Wales.

Herbal scented with citrus characteristics and subtle vanilla influences. Creamy cashew flavours on the finish with a hint of lemon curd.

Almost ‘Bordeauxesque' in style but with more attractive red fruit characteristics. Fine, silky tannins blend with the supple fruit - a wine to savour.
